George Wangner

George Lawrnece Wangner, 65, Clarksville, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY, with military honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. He was born February 21, 1943 in Newark, NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, George Lee Wangner Jr. Mr. Wangner was a retired U.S. Army SSG and later retired from Civil Service. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed farming and raising a vegetable garden. He is survived by his wife, Kiyo Taba Wangner, Clarksville; daughter, Laura Stacey, Clarksville; grandson, Brandon Wangner; sister, Pat Connell, New York.
