George Steward, Sr.

George Wesley Steward, Sr., age 77, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery.
The Steward family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday.
George entered into this life on March 25, 1939 in Water Valley, Tennessee, son of the late Rollie and Elise Hutchison Steward. He enjoyed working as a carpenter and was exceptionally skilled at his trade. George was a Baptist.
Survivors include his children, George Steward, Jr., Billy Joe Steward, Elvis Clinton Steward, Brent Walker Steward (Stephanie), Scott Steward; and siblings, Tommy Steward, Leonard Steward, and Betty Reed. He was the loving grandfather to ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
