George Shuff

George Cooper Shuff, age 88 of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Sammie Wallace officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
George was born on September 3, 1926 in Stewart County, son of Lurton Schuff and Bertha McClure Schuff. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Shuff and his brother, Ottis H. Schuff.
After serving his country in WWII, Vietnam War, and the Korean War, he retired from the U.S. Army. George was a member of Sailors Rest United Methodist Church and was a retired bus driver for the Fort Campbell School System.
He is survived by his son, Larry C. (Vickie) Shuff of Leola, Ark.; grandson, Jeremy (Sarah) Shuff of Leola, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Caden and Mason Shuff; brothers, Thomas D. Schuff of Atlanta, GA, David G. Schuff of Clarksville, TN, and Clifton Schuff of South Gate, Mich.; sister, Virginia I. Stinson of Clarksville, TN; faithful companions (his two dogs) Lady and Tina; lots of nieces and nephews.
