George Shelton

George Albert Shelton passed away Thursday November 8, 2012 at Signature Healthcare. He was born July 28, 1923 in Erin, Tn. son of the late Opie Shelton and Lettie Alsobrooks Shelton. He was a member of Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church, American Legion, Houston County Historical Assoc., and U.S.Navy Veteran surviving in WW II. A celebration of his life will be 2pm Sunday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Steppee officiating Visitation will be from 4:30pm until 8pm Saturday and from 8am until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Alsobrooks Cemetery. Survivors include one son Tommy Shelton, two daughters Suzzette Wright, Georgene Shelton all of Erin, Tn. one brother Gilbert Shelton of Nashville, Tn. two grandchildren Petty Officer 3rd class David Wright of California, Sarah Button of Erin, TN.
