George “Davis” Riggins, age 93, of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Garrett Miliken officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.
Davis entered into this life on April 5, 1925 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Dewey and Lilly Hogue Riggins. He was retired after 28 years with Acme Boot Co., and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his father, George Don Ince, Sr., he is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Stevens, maternal grandfather, Loran Purtle; sister; Thelma Watkins; brothers, William Riggins, Henry Riggins, Lawrence Riggins; and uncle, Jack Purtle.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Hazel Stevens Riggins; step-daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Foster; grandchildren, Morgan (Gram) Smith and Ryan Foster; sisters, Liie Bell Sherifield, Dorothy Manners, and Lucille Duke; and niece, Terry Beki.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Foster, Ryan Foster, Ali Beki, and Gram Smith.
