George Harris

George Douglas Harris, age 90 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at NHC Tullahoma while surrounded by his loving daughters.
A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Freeman and Bro. Steve Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in Knight Cemetery.
The Harris family will receive friends on Friday at Nave Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday morning.
George entered this life on April 17, 1928 in Springfield, TN, son to the late George and Ethel Harris. George was a loving father, brother, grandfather an great grandfather to his family, and was faithful member of Cumberland Valley Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Betty York Harris.
Survivors include his loving daughters, Diane Kuzina (Michael), Connie McNally (Ted); stepsons, David Estes (Catherine), Joey Estes (Cathey), Mike Estes; brothers, Arthur Harris, Charles Harris, Ewell “Poe” Harris; sisters, Annie Dalton, Mattie Dalton, Cynthia Prince and Jewell Thompson. George also leaves behind ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Estes, Mike Prince, Sidney Cathey, Michael Estes, Dillian Estes, Wesley Estes. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Matthew Beuter.
