George Grimes

George Thomas Grimes, age 69, of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his residence.

A Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at Ryes Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

George entered into this life on February 22, 1950, in Clarksville, TN, to the late, Ray and Emma Lee Heath Grimes. He was a member of Gideons International, and the Southern Baptist Association. George also pastored many churches in Clarksville, and surrounding areas.

Survivors include his sons, Sean (Donna) Grimes, Shane (Melinda) Grimes; daughter, Shannon (Mark) Harvey; mother of his children, Faye Grimes; grandchildren, Chris Harvey, Whitney Grimes, Matthew Harvey, Timothy Avaritt, Katie Avaritt, Kimberlee Grimes, and Kage Grimes; great-grandchildren, Brooks Harvey, Bryson Harvey, Adrianna Harvey, Kaitlyn Avaritt, Kaleb Avaritt, Evan Cook, Devan Cook, Ryan Cook, Kourtney Cook, Barrett Brewer, and Aivree Brewer; aunt, Katie (George) Strickland; sister, Kay Baggett, one niece, and one nephew.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
