George Dew

George David Dew, age 72 of Erin, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Skyline Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Wilburn officiating.

The Dew family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday afternoon.

George entered this life on February 3, 1951 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Gus and Henreitta Dew. George was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church and worked for the Houston County Highway Department for thirty-five years where he served as the Highway Superintendent for eight years. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brothers, Troy Dew and Bill Dew.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Sara Dew; children, Dwayne (Crystal) Dew, Lewis (Kim) Dew; siblings, Marietta (Leon) Hollis, Faye (Danny) Neblett, and Ralph Dew. George also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah) Hammond, Cassie (Bishop) Futrell, Katlin Dew, Kayla Dew, Brisyn Dew, Bradyn Dew, Chance Dew; great-grandchildren, Daxton Petty, Grayson Hammond, Luke Arnold, Balley Norvell, Maggie Futrell, and Kaiden Petty.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Hammond, Chance Dew, Bradyn Dew, Brisyn Dew, Jason Dew, and Bishop Futrell.
