Genie Redd

Genie Franklin Redd, 74, Clarksville, died Sudnay, November 18, 2007, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Louie Montoya officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Redd was born in Clarksville, Virginia son of Roger Bailey Redd and Bobbi Thomas Redd. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Reinersmann; granddaughter, Emily Walker Redd; and his brothers, Jack B. Redd, Albert Redd and Wayne Redd. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company. Survivors include his wife, Carol Weaver Redd; sons, Larry (Aimee) Riggins, Waterloo, Iowa, Gene Redd Jr., Clarksville; daughter, Debbie (Dutch) Verdonk, Sierra Vista, AZ; sisters, Beulah Averette, Matoca, VA, Ellen (Lynn) Hall, Colonial Heights, VA, Nellie (Henderson)Beale, Virginia Beach, VA; nine grandchildren, Lauren Riggins, Jessica Reinersmann, Cody Reinersmann, and Matthew Reinersmann, all of Clarksville, Justin Riggins and Jaqlyn Riggins, Waterloo, Iowa; Raymond Verdonk, Michael Verdonk and Christopher Verdonk, Sierra Vista, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Paige Verdonk and Tyler Verdonk, Sierra Vista, AZ. Pallbearers will be Billy Mann Jr., Johnny Mann, David Gibson, David Matthews, Justin Riggins and Chad Leavell.
