Geneva Outland

Geneva Baggett Outland, age 92, of Cunningham, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Spring Meadows Health Care. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lida Yarbrough Baggett, her husband of 53 years, Palmer (Doc) Outland, and siblings, Grady and Rufus Baggett, Clara Yarbrough, and Dorothy Qualls .
Survivors include her children, Geary (Gail) Outland, and Geri Grimmett; five grandchildren, Matt (Tereva) Outland, Averi (Michael) Kempf, David (Erin) Grimmett, Megan (Dan) Gardner, and Nicki Outland; great-grandchildren, Tannar Outland, Sheppard and Molly Kemph, Truett and Bennett Gardner, and Emily Grimmett; nieces, Colleen Smith, Linda Baggett, and nephew, Phillip Baggett.
A private Celebration of Life will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The Outland family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at the funeral home.
Geneva entered into this life on September 11, 1925 in Montgomery County, TN. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a longtime member of Hopewell Baptist church. Geneva was a graduate of Montgomery Central High school, worked at B.F. Goodrich during World War II, and retired from Jostens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Grimmett, and Matt Outland. Others will be Michael Kempf, Dan Gardner, Phillip Baggett, Kerry Smith, and Ralph Baggett.
