Gene Sexton

Mr. Earnest “Gene” Sexton, age 87 of Erin, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, TN.
The Sexton family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday afternoon.
Gene entered this life on May 4, 1929 in Cumberland City, TN. Gene was a member of Erin Baptist Church and was a brother in the Masonic Charity Lodge #300.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his sons, Dickie Rye, Eddie Sexton, and Dennis Sexton..
Survivors include his loving wife, Marjorie Bryant Sexton; sons, Danny Rye, Eddie Rye; daughters, Deborah Kent, Peggy Luffman; and brother, Hugh Sexton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Luffman, Danny Rye, Eddie Rye, Bud Kent, Jamie Kent, and Richie Kent.
