Gayle Greene

Gayle Greene, age 83 of Cunningham, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Salem Community Church with Bro. Gus Crockett and Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church.

Gayle entered this life on June 25, 1939 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Lurton and Opal Weakley Biter. She was retired from Jostens where she worked in the layout department. Gayle was a member of Salem Community Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She found joy in photography, scrapbooking, and gardening. However, Gayle’s greatest joy was her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Eddie Biter.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Wade Greene; children, Donald (Kim) Greene, and Sherri (Todd) Devers; grandchildren, Lucian Wade (Allie) Greene, Bryce Devers, Brady Devers, and one great-grandchild on the way, Townes Wade Greene.

Pallbearers will be Lucian Greene, Bryce Devers, Brady Devers, Danny Smithson, Keith Jackson, Mike Greene, Matt Greene, and Jamie Biter. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Biter and all of her nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Marion United Methodist Cemetery Fund or Salem Cemetery Fund.
