Gay Bernice Nickell

Bernice Nickell, 75, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at her home in Woodlawn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Wint officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Bernice was born March 11, 1937 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, daughter of Barney E. Jones and Velcie Boggess Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Glen R. Jones, Ulen Good, Gary Jones, and Richard Jones; and sister, Emeline Rollins. Bernice was a Computer Librarian.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Eugene Nickell, Sr. of Woodlawn; her sons, Alfred Eugene Nickell, Jr. of Clarksville and Jerry Nickell (Dawn) of Cibalo, TX; daughters, Kathy Sherrill (Mark) of Bristow, VA and Deborah Nickell Massey of Clarksville; brothers, Darrell Jones of Leasburg,, NC and Jarrell Jones of Hammond, IN; sisters Wilma Jean Sheets of Eleanor, WV, Ruth Harvey of Allens Fork, WV, and Sue Parsons of St. Albans, WV; grandchildren, Melissa Massey, Kirby Barber, Joshua Nickell, Katherine Sherrill, Jacob Nickell and Shelby Nickell, and great grandchild, Travis Lee Nickell.
Pallbearers will be Mark Sherrill, Jerry Nickell, Jacob Nickell, Josh Nickell, Alfred Eugene Nickell, Jr., and Ralph Parsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Van Service, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 308, Clarksville, TN 37040.
