Gary Lynn Sumner

Gary Lynn Sumner, age 67, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at his home.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m.

Gary entered this life on April 24, 1957 in Hopkinsville, KY. He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, as well as riding his Harley Davidson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Walker Pangelinan and his sister Teresa G. Sumner.

Survivors include his loving wife, Peggy Scott Sumner; father, Van Sumner, and his wife, Jean Anne Sumner; children, Gary Lynn Sumner, Jr. (Michelle), and Brant Poindexter (Micheala), and Genia Key (Martin); sisters, Krista Anne Sumner, and Vanessa Kindy (Robbie). Gary also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one on the way.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Sumner, Brant Poindexter, Harold Rives, Mike Henderson, Matt Averett, and Jim Huffman.
