Gary Dwayne Mackens, age 52, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 while at Skyline Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Baggett's Chapel Cemetery. The Mackens family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Gary entered into this life on September 29, 1965 in Montgomery County, son of James N. Mackens and Kathleen Jackson Mackens. Gary worked alongside his father at Mackens Upholstery. He was a 1983 graduate of Montgomery Central High School.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Theresa Nicholas Mackens; children, Cody Mackens (Ashley Ray), Whitney Paige Mackens (Mark Owens), and Kaitlan Mackens (Josh Mitchell); grandson, Joseph Mackens; and his brothers, David Mackens (Donna), Richard Mackens, and Kenny Mackens (Misty).
Pallbearers will be Kenny Mackens, Mark Owens, Josh Mitchell, Wyatt Hamilton, Junior Robinson, and Robert Curasco. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Mackens and Cody Mackens.
