Gary Lee Copeland, 66 of Palmyra, passed away at TriStar Horizon Medical Center, Dickson, TN
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Memorial Baptist Church with his nephew, Jon Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gary’s family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Memorial Baptist Church and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the church.
Gary entered into this life August 12, 1952 in Clarksville, TN son of the late, Birtie and Dovie Raines Copeland. Gary worked at Trane Company for 23 years, he was a Civil War and history buff, he loved outdoors, hunting, his country and time with his family. Gary was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Allen and John Copeland and several half siblings.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, JoAnn Williams Copeland; Son, Jospeh Lee (Natasha) Copeland; daughters, Leann (Keith) Stone and Jamie Jeanette (Michael) Vaughn; grandchildren, Josh (Tara) Newman, Brooklyn Kelly (Alan) Crosby and Morgan Stone; great-grandchildren, Braylin, Paislee and Beckham; sisters, Janet (Louis) Rushing, Joyce Bruso and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
