Wanda Gail Ussery, age 64, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 while at her home in Cunningham.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Chambers and Michael Raines officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
Gail was born on April 1, 1953 in Houston County, Tennessee to the late Douglas "Duck" Underwood and Myrtle Smithey Underwood. She was a member of the church family at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, Myrtle Underwood, Gail is survived by the father of her children, Vernon "Smitty" Ussery, Jr.; her son, Michael Ussery and his wife Patricia; daughters by marriage, Deborah Groves, Denise Johnson, and Diane Pierce; her siblings, Mike Underwood, Pam Underwood, Donna Goodlett, and Shelia Hogue; and her ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ussery, Isaac Hogue, Larry Hogue, Justin Hogue, Brian Shephard, and Scotty Shephard.
