Franklin Douglas Moore, age 81 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Spring Meadows Nursing Home.
Frank was born on January 27, 1934 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Mannie Moore and Clara Dewberry Moore
He was a retired District Chief of the Clarksville Fire Department with 26 years of service and a member of First Baptist Church.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home with Dr.Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday June 6, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. until the hour of the service at the Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Percy Moore.
He is survived by his wife Betty Stanley Moore; daughters Barbara Steely and Susan (Russell) Carson; grandchildren; Jimmy Durrett, Thomas Durrett, Sara Crawford, Megan Carson and Stephanie Carson; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Reese, and Walker.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Wallace, Jason Lusby, Tommy Trainer, C.W. Stokes, Jimmy Durrett, Thomas Durrett, Eugene Keel, and Jack Vaughn. Honorary Pallbearers will be retired and active Clarksville Fire and Rescue.
