Frank Smith

MSG (Ret) Frank Smith, age 81, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Military Honors and burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Frank entered this life on January 24, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY. He was retired from The United States Army after having served 26 honorable years. He went on to work for the Veterans Administration, helping with job placement for fellow veterans. Frank also went on to retire from Quebecor Printing Plant. He was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop 540, ultimately achieving the rank of Assistant Scout Master. Frank was a member of the Church of Nazarene and enjoyed fishing. He obtained two separate associate degrees from Austin Peay State University.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Kramer Straka; son in law, Gary Griffey, and brother, Donald Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Eby Smith; son, Patrick Smith, and his wife, Jo Ann Smith; daughter, Ellen Protonentis, and her husband, Dirk Protonentis; daughter, Ruth Griffey; son, William Smith, and his wife, Holly Smith; brother, Edward Smith of Oceanside, NY;   grandchildren, Danze and his wife, Meloni, Paige and her husband Eddy, Elizabeth, Steve, Asher, Lillian, and Vallerie; great-grandchildren, Dymas, and Taran.
