Frank Metcalf

Frank Gorham Metcalf, age 78 of Erin, Tennessee passed away Monday July 12, 2021 in Houston County, Tennessee.
Frank was born May 3rd, 1943 in Clarksville, TN to Thomas Hugh Metcalf and Mary Lucille Gorham. Frank lived several years in TN and later moved to Moline, Kansas, where he met and married Barbara Louise Cummings. Frank, Barbara and their two sons; Brian James and Thomas Hugh, later returned to TN, where Frank began his career at TVA Steam Plant in Cumberland City. He later retired from TVA as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Frank also attended Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, KS for two years. After he retired, farming and his cattle were his best buddies (his best girls). He enjoyed tending to these with his sons. He also regularly relaxed by watching Gunsmoke, his favorite show.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Edward Metcalf and Thomas Hugh Metcalf. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Louise of Erin, TN, his sons, Brian James (Jaime) Metcalf of Stewart, TN and Thomas Hugh (Jamie) Metcalf of Tennessee Ridge.
He is also survived by his six beloved Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren. At his request, Frank will be cremated and his ashes buried with his mother and father and his brothers at The Union Cemetery in Dickson, TN. A graveside memorial will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
