Frances Nykodem

Frances McGowan Nykodem, 88, Erin,Tn., died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Patients Choice Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Monday and from 8am until service Tuesday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born June 30, 1921 in Houston County,Tn. daughter of the late Elbert and Dorothy Bell McGowan.She was preceded by her husband Ernest Nykodem. Frances Nykodem ,went to be with her Lord and Maker on March 5, 2010.She passed away from natural causes surround by her loved ones.A long time resident of Memphis,Tn. Frances moved to be closer to family in Erin,Tn. She is survived by two daughters Patricia Malone of Rossvile,Tn.and Virginia Dover of Knoxville,Tn.A son in law Bill Dover also of Knoxville,and five grandchildren Chris Dover, Jeremy Malone, Crystal Dover, Timothy Malone and Amy Dover.She also leaves four great grandchildren. three sisters Lavern Barrett of McKinnon,Tn.Theresa Watkins of Wyandotte,Mi and Wanda Fussell of Erin,Tn. She was a member of Carlisle Free Will Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Chris Dover, Jeremy Malone, Timothy Malone, Bill Dover, Jerry Fussell, Reggie Spurgeon.
