Frances Irene Dickson, 91, Cunningham, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Rob Courtney officiating. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dickson was born October 31, 1919 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin and Aletha Cotton Dawson; husband, John Edward "Peanut" Dickson; and her sister, Pearl Dawson Atkins.
She was a member of Southside United Methodist Church who enjoyed sewing and ceramics.
Survivors include her sisters, Margie Benedict, Cuningham, Louise Trotter, Wyandotte, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be George Gallardo, Jimmy Shelton, Charles Mosley, Larry Breeden, Dwight Bearden and Bobby Baggett. Roger Dale Cato will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
