Floyd Tackett, age 69, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at his home in Clarksville.
Services will be private. Burial will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Floyd entered this life on May 16, 1944 in Bremerton, WA, son to Floyd and Rosemary Bathsheba Hawn Tackett. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and formerly head watchmaker of Macy's. He also served as an adjunct professor at Austin Peay State University.
Survivors include his son, Scott A. Tackett and daughter-in-law Martha A. Tackett of Hopkinsville; granddaughters, Callie and Carrie Tackett; and nephew, Mike Cobble of New Port News, VA.
Memorials may be made to the Edgewood Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 Cadiz Rd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
