Floyd Earl “Peck” Byrd, age 87 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014, in the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Betty Meriwether officiating. Burial will follow in Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday and from 12 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Floyd was born on February 18, 1927, in Montgomery County, the son of the late Andrew Byrd and Lela Martin Byrd. He was retired from Acme Boot Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Byrd and Edgar Byrd, and a sister, Mae Winfree.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Yarbrough Byrd; son, Mike (Ellen) Byrd; grandchildren, Allison and Hunter Byrd and great-granddaughter, Ava.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
