Florence Penrod

Florence Penrod 83 of Dover, Tn. passed away Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1931 in Houston County, Tn. daughter of Milton Mitchell and Myrtle Schmidt Mitchell. She was a member of Dover First Baptist Church, and S.C. E. A celebration of her life will be 2pm Thursday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Wednesday and from 8am until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Brakeview Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Myrtle Mitchell, her husband Lonnie “Jack” Penrod , siblings Herman Mitchell, Benjamin Mitchell, Kirkwood Mitchell, Janet Manners and Thelma Mitchell. Survivors include her companion David Rigins, one son Lonnie Penrod, two daughters Peggy Spicer, Jackie Strocman, one brother John Mitchell, one sister Norma Dalton, three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be James Hatcher, Kevin Manners, David Mitchell, Ray Mitchell, Johnathon Mitchell, Stacy Manners, and Mike Manners.
