Flora Grimes

Flora (Mae) Grimes, 68, Clarksville, went home to our Heavenly Father, Monday, July 6, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Major Grady Pearson officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. She was born September 17, 1940 in Honeygrove, TX and was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Grady Proctor; son, Donnie Grimes; daughter, Debbie Grimes; sisters, Mary Partridge and twin sister, Faye Driskel. To all who new her she was a social worker for the salvation army, a women who lended a helping hand, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and most of all a wonderful friend. She leaves behind a loving husband of 52 years, Robert A. Grimes Sr.; sons, Robert A. Grimes Jr., Mickel D. Grimes, David L. Grimes, all of Clarksville; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Proctor, El Paso, TX, Eddie Proctor, Powerdely, TX, John Proctor, Morris, OK; sisters, Audrey Rivera, Amirillo, TX; Cindy Jerralds, Copper, TX.
