Wanda `Faye` Boyer Sweeney, 69, Clarksville, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2010 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating. Entombment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 18, 1940 in Guthrie, Kentucky, daughter of Ida May Murphy Boyer and James Overton Boyer. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by brothers James Thomas Boyer, Charles Phillip Boyer, Malcolm Emmet Boyer, and Russell Eugene Boyer and sisters Annie Ruth Goff, Grace Debow, and Billie Warren. Faye was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church, life-long member of VFW Post 11160, Ladies Auxillary, and a life member of Western Kentucky & Tennessee Chapter of the 101st Airborne Division (Ladies Auxillary). Survivors include her husband Jerald "Jerry" Sweeney of Clarksville, sons and their wives Nathan and Donna Rutherford of Paducah, KY and Robin and Karen Rutherford of Murfreesboro, TN, step-children and their spouses Jerald A. and Rose Sweeney, Jr. of Bumpus Mills, TN, Ronald Sweeney of Byrdstown, TN, Angela Sweeney (William) Menger of Charleston, SC, and Penny and David Brainard of Bumpus Mills, sisters Shirley Armstrong of College Grove, TN, Nita Morgan of Guthrie, and Dorothy Biggar of Clarksville, and fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronald Sweeney, Jerald Sweeney, Jr., David Brainard, Teddy Bates Biggar, Joe Biggar, and Gary Warren.
