Faye Schmidt

Emily Faye Schmidt, age 87 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Wolfe officiating.

The Schmidt family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday afternoon.

Faye entered this life on June 16, 1933 in Tennessee Ridge, Tn, daughter to the late Viston Irwin and Georgia Brown Irwin. She was a faithful employee of the Houston County Schools System where she drove her school bus route for over fifty years. She also worked for the Houston County School System as a cook and custodian for 35 years were she was beloved by all of the children she loved and cared for over the years.

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her siblings, Gayle Lindsey, Anne Ferrell, and Haney Irwin, as well as her son-in-law, Ronnie Ragsdale.

Survivors include her loving children, Donald Schmidt, Emily Ragsdale; and Glenda Durham (Charles). She also leaves behind four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be Van Harper, Mike Lindsey, David Lindsey, Randy Lindsey, Charles Durham, and Johnny Morris.
