Fay Reed

Fay Peters Reed, 83, Clarksville, died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 noon Thursday at McReynolds Nave & Larson Chapel with Revs. Ben Reed and Brandon Reed officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 9, 1927 in Lily, KY and was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Pleasant Peters and Edna Lee Scalf Peters; husband, Benjamin Ray Reed and daughter, Elona Nickle Stewart. Fay and her husband were formerly small business owners selling antique furniture. After the death of her husband, she worked in an Alzheimers Home, Assisted Living Home and as a house parent at Baptist Childrens Home. Survivors include her children, Camelia (Jerry) Hamm, Clarksville, Mark (Wendy) Reed, Pennsylvania, Grant (Coral) Reed, Cleveland, Pete (Cindy) Reed, Clarksville, Fru Fru (Steven) Reed, Oklahoma; four brothers, Claude Peters, James Peters, John Peters, Charles Peters; two sisters, Catherine Goodin, Elizabeth Pennington; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Wayne Hamm, Michael Reed, Randy Nickle, Danny Nickle, Benjamin Reed and Brandon Reed.
