Evelyn Janette "Dumpy" Wright

 Evelyn Janette “Dumpy” Wright, age 87 of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at her son’s home while surrounded by her loving family. 

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Joel Nulty officiating. 

 Evelyn entered this life on October 1, 1937 in Detroit, MI, daughter to the late Herman M. and Ruth Jackson Brunson. Evelyn retired after 20 years with SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories in 1994, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 462, Cumberland City. 

 In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Lyn” Wright; sister, Vivian Maddox; and grandson, Matthew Jolly. 

 Survivors include her loving children, Eve Lynette (Kenny) Jolly, Paul L. (Tammy) Wright II, Jerry G. (Donna) Wright; grandchildren, Jeremy Sanford, Rocky (Janette) Flowers, Jody (Blanca) Flowers, Travis (Kaycie) Wright, Dustin (Hayley) Wright, Kayla (William) Randolph, Clay (Sarah) Wright, Zachary Wright, Chelsea (Travis) Whitehead, Kaylee Andrews, Erin “Chickie” Wright; numerous great, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Wright II, Tom Sawyer, Jeremy Sanford, Travis Wright, Dustin Wright, and Clay Wright. 

 The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nurse Practitioner, Tommy Sawyer; Tennessee Quality Home Health and Hospice Care, especially, Sheree, Ren, Sarah, Britney, Victoria, and Chaplin Frandall. Your loving compassionate care never went unnoticed.
