Evelyn Marie Biggs, age 81, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday.
Evelyn was born on June 22, 1934 in Houston County, Tennessee, the eldest daughter of the late Lonnie Buford Goodwin and the late Rosa Belle Waggoner Goodwin. A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, she loved quilting, gardening, and canning. She was a longtime member of Hilldale Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lester Biggs of Clarksville; son Scott (Becky) Biggs of Columbus, Ohio; sisters Pat (Bob) Mallory of Stewart, Tennessee and Shirlee (Jerry) Carter of Navarre, Florida; nephew Kyle (Julia) Mallory of Cumberland City, Tennessee; and niece Keri (Rick) Highfill of Oldsmar, Florida. Evelyn was also close to neighbor Sue Summers of Clarksville, friend Carolyn Grant of Southside, and the women of her Sunday School class at Hilldale Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank the staff of Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, and Alive Hospice in Nashville for their skillful and loving care of Evelyn during her recent illness.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
