Evelyn Alsobrooks

Evelyn Reynolds Alsobrooks, age 101 of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Alsobrooks Cemetery with Rev. Ernie Arnold officiating.
Evelyn entered this life on December 8, 1917 in Paris, TN, daughter to the late Benjamin and Mary Reynolds Hagler. Evelyn graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Austin Peay State University and spent her professional career educating her many students. Evelyn was a member of the Erin Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, George Alsobrooks, and sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Lila McElroy, Anne Williams and Betty Gooch.
Survivors include her loving children, Mary Elizabeth (Charles) Childs, Patricia Thorn, Greg Alsobrooks, Edward Sine, and her brother, Ben Hagler. Evelyn also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild.
Family and friend will serve as pallbearers.
