Evanna Dunlap

September 16, 1954 — October 1, 2021

On September 16, 1954, Evanna affectionately known as “Anna” to most was born to the late George R. and Celia Brigham Milam. Friday, October 1, 2021, at TriStar Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee after a brief illness our Lord called Anna home.
Anna was raised In the Spring Street community and received her education from the Hensley School, Erin Elementary, and was in the graduating class of 1975 at Houston County High School. Anna served her community by being a caregiver for several families, the Nichols, Mobley, & Bradley’s, just to name a few. She retired after twenty-plus years after working in the custodial department for Erin Elementary School. Anna was a life-long member of St. James CME Church of Erin, Tennessee where she proudly served on the usher board, sang in the church choir, as well as making sure the church was clean and ready for each service. Anna loved and cared for her church family deeply. Anna also fellowshipped with all the churches in her area, and she sang in the choir as well as helped the kitchen committee at Little Rock Baptist Church in Erin, Tennessee.
Anna was married to the late Crowder Dunlap. In addition, Anna was preceded in death by her brother Duke, sister Mary Lee, as well as twin siblings, Georgia Mae and George Lynn. She leaves behind her Sisters Florence “Libby” Askew, Lura Littlejohn and brother Joe Milam. She also leaves behind her in –laws, Mike (Bessie) Dunlap, David (Belinda) Dunlap, Eddie Dunlap, Hattie Cooksey, Patricia Tyler, and Rebecca (Dwight) Woodward. Anna loved and cherished her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and all of her beloved family and friends. She was surrounded by many life-long friends, some of which she held special in her heart is Jessica Lyle, Teri Mitchum, Lorie Carter, Barbara Norfleet, and Frances Harvey. Anna ‘s family wants everyone to remember her infectious smile and sweet spirit.
