Eva Thomas

Eva Mae Thomas, 87, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Eva was born on December 24, 1935, in Shelbyville, TN; daughter of the late William and Katie Anderton Brawley. She was a 1953 graduate of Clarksville High School. She began her nursing career at Clarksville Memorial Hospital and later worked for Dr. David Williams’ private practice until her retirement. She was a member of Forest Street UMC and with her faith she carried a servant’s heart; always taking care of her family, friends, and patients. Eva enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, baking and cross stitching.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Allan Thomas and sister, Elizabeth Davis.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl Simpson (Loren), Beverly Keay (Larry), Mari Jo Davis (Kenny), Jeff Thomas, Teri Mutters (Kenny), and Mickial Thomas; sister, Josephine McElfresh and brother, Barry Brawley; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Ben Davis, Matt Davis, James Farmer, Logan Keay, Chad Seay, and Christian Sherron.
