Eugene Moss

Moss, Eugene Daniel 89 of Erin, TN. and a native of Clarksville, Tn.Eugene passed away Saturday November 3, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital. He was born November 17, 1922 .Preceded in death by his parents, Tallie Edward Moss and Mary Eva Martin Moss. He is survived by his wife Mayme Lorene Alsobrooks Moss, and Brother Ambrose R. Moss (Jane) of Nashville, Tn. and a nephew Gregory R.Moss of Clarksville, TN. a niece Marcia Moss Lowe (Gary) of Nashville, TN. A private graveside service will be 10:00am Saturday November 10, 2012 with Bro. Ken Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Alsobrooks Cemetery. He was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church in Nashville, TN. and Later Erin United Methodist Church in Erin, TN. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and Austin Peay State University. He was employed by Clarksville Housing Authority as Executive Director-secretary for 6 years and later by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency of Nashville for 32 years in the development department as a planning analyst. He was a veteran of WW II in the US Army Air Corps with the 508th bombardment squadron (Heavy B-17) in Europe. He was a former Prisoner of War of Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Post 73 and a member of Disabled American Veterans Post 3. He was Mason of Jere Baxter-Edgefield Lodge #254 F&A.M., Scottish rite, York Rite, and Shriner of Al Menah Temple. Memorials may be made to the Alsobrooks Cemetery fund or Charity of your choice.
