Etta Williams

Etta Faye Hayes Williams, 69, She resided in Crescent Beach, Fl and then moved to Sparta, Tn in 2007, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Pat VanDyke officiating. Burial will be in Myer's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She was born February 28, 1940 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Robert Russell and Bernice Powell Hayes. She was preceeded in death by brother Roger Powell Hayes. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Williams is survived by husband Joseph J. Williams, sons; Edward Place (Migdalia),UT, Robert Place (Leslie), Fla, Michael Williams (Lori), Fla, daughter; Linda Simoneaux (Guy), GA, brothers; Russell Hayes, Terry Glen Hayes, Don Leroy Hayes, Dwight Duwayne Hayes, sisters; Sue McLeLand, Katherine Hayes, Cheryl Fuchs. Eight Grandchildren; Jessica Simoneaux, Justin Place, Guy Simoneaux, Jr., Ryan Williams, Deanna Place, Tyler Williams, Kevin Rich, Haley Harper. Family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Etta Faye Williams (alz.org/join_the_cause_donate).
