Ethel Martin

Ethel Frances Martin, 79, Clarksville, died Friday, January 21, 2011, at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and from 12-1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She was born Decmeber 5, 1931 in Dearborn, MI and was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Bertha Brandt Jernigan; husband, Richard David Martin Sr.; and a son, David Jones. Mrs. Martin was a retired fancy stitcher with Acme Boot. She enjoyed gardening and bingo. Survivors include her sons, Rick (Roberta) Martin, Dickinson, TX, Wayne (Yvonne)Martin, Temple, TX, Donald (Vicki)Jones, Stephens, SC; daughter, Debra (Richard) Bishop, Athens, TX; brothers, Howard (Arnell) Jernigan Jr., Greenbriar, TN, Thomas (Carol) Jernigan, Venice, FL; sisters, Barbara Boggs, Newnan, GA, Billie Beard, Clarksville; friend and adopted daughter, Connie Gunnett, Clarksville; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
