Etha Elizabeth Atkins, age 85 of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly Dycus and Wade Charnock officiating. Burial will follow at Wilee's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Etha was born on March 19, 1931 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Lester Burkhart and Floree Steiner. She was a member of Wilee's Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from First Church of The Nazarene Child Care.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Reynolds Atkins; sons, Elvin Reynolds Atkins, II and Roger Atkins; daughter, Nancy Gail Atkins.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Atkins, Beverly (David) Dycus, Susan Hambley, and Joy Pitts Atkins; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tabatha) Atkins, Sherri Lamczyk, Tara (Wayne) Jacques, Amy Atkins, Angela (Wendell) Hensley, and Joshua Hambley; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Burkhart and Lester Burkhart, Jr.; sisters, Edith Hinderliter and Janice Smith.
Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Philip Smith, David Smith, Nathan Burkhart, Keith Burkhart, Alan Burkhart, Duane Burkhart, and Jonathan Outlaw. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilee's Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3321 Lylewood Road, Woodlawn, TN 37191.
