Estalene Averitt Patterson, age 87, of Erin, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017, at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home in Erin with the Reverends Jacqueline Martin, Willie Lyle, Glenn Byrd, and Paul Moody. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday.
Estalene entered into this life on July 17, 1929, in Houston County, Tennessee to the late Rodney Averitt and Nannie Thomas Averitt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, W.C., brother, Thomas, and sister, Audrey Patterson.
Mrs. Patterson was a retired sales clerk for Mitchum Drug Company in Erin. She was a longtime, faithful member of Cedar Valley United Methodist Church where she graciously used her God-given talent serving as pianist for over sixty years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, David Patterson of Jackson; daughter, Susan Hinson (Randy) of Erin; two sisters, Frances Harris and Eloise Weaver of Clarksville; and two grandsons, Randall Hinson (Kniki Schmidt) of Erin, and Alex Patterson of Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hinson, Randall Hinson, Alex Patterson, Dustin Owen, Michael Hughes, Joel Clark, Cass Rye II, and Archie Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Wallace Harris, Jerold Harris, and Thomas Harris; Lynell Rye, Wilton Rye, Donald Clark, Carney Clark, Mark Beal, Fred Lyle, and Scott Lyle.
