Esma Williams

Esma Sanford Williams, 81, Clarksville, went to be with his Lord Monday, December 12, 2011 at Clarksville Nursing & Rehab with his family close by his side.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bros. Bob Jones and Brian Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Esma was born April 10, 1930 in Bumpus Mills, TN, son of Lannie and Ida Williams. Following his service in the U.S. Army, Esma worked for B.F. Goodrich and then was employed and retired from Civil Service at Fort Campbell. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for seventeen years. He enjoyed collecting guns, knives, and caps.
Survivors include his wife of over 58 years, Lois Williams of Clarksville, his children, Vennitta Miner (Ralph), Timmy Williams (Nancy), Melissa Lloyd (John), all of Clarksville, Lydia Mette (Jeff), Jacksonville, FL, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Travis Miner, Justin Miner, Jacob Yoqulet, Keith Williams, Bobby Williams, Dustin Huff, and Brad Mackens.
