Join us in a celebration of life for Ernie Mathew Wallace, 78, Clarksville, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A celebration of his life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born March 24, 1931 in Stewart County, Tennessee, son of the late James C. Wallace and Orlean Deep Wallace. He was also preceded in death by his son Steve Wayne Wallace, and sisters Margaret and Mannie Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a Christian and a member of the local Moose Club. He was a well known used car dealer in Clarksville for over fifty years and was still active until he passed. He is survived by his soul mate and wife from his heart of 26 years, Cindy Browning (Wallace) of Clarksville; step-son Eddy (Lisa) Taylor of Woodlawn, son of heart Trey Petterson of Clarksville; brothers Alvie (Ann) Wallace of Clarksville, John W. (Dora) Wallace of Clarksville, George (Linda) Wallace of Nashville, and James C. (Wanda) Wallace, Jr. of Dover; grandsons Evan and Blake Taylor, whom he loved with all of his heart; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Matthew Wallace, Evan Taylor, Tony Wallace, Trey Petterson, Chris Wyatt, James Wallace, and Tom Faerber. He loved life, family, friends, and children. He enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh. Ernie will be greatly missed by all but his life stories and memories will live forever.
