Ernest Lyle

Ernest Lee Lyle, 80, Trenton, Michigan, formerly of Montgomery County, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Goodmiller officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ernest was born April 13, 1930 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, son of the late Ernest D. and Florie Elizabeth Lyle. He worked and retired from the steel industry following his service with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Southgate, MI. Ernest was the beloved husband of the late Allene Swift Lyle, loving Dad to his children Greg (Jean) Lyle of Clarksville and daughter Brenda (Rick) James of Michigan, cherished Poppie to his grandchildren Corinne and Jeremy James, and Pop-Pop to his great-grandchildren Jazmyn, Galina, and Scarlett Allene.
