Ernest Harris

Mr. Ernest “Teetle” Harris, age 83 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Medders officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
The Harris family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service time .
Teetle entered this life on August 3, 1933, in Houston County, TN son to the late Raymond Joseph and Dixie Moore Harris. Teetle was a lifelong resident of Houston County, TN where he was a faithful member of The Erin Church of the Nazarene. Teetle also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, Teetle was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne Wright Harris, and his daughter, Terri Elaine Harris.
Survivors include his loving children, DeWain Harris (Harriet), Rebecca Hopper (Brent); brothers, Billy Ray Harris and Melvin Harris; sisters, Colleen Andrews and Shirley Moore.
Serving as pallbearers will be PJ Norfleet, Harry Batton, Robert Hall, Jay Hill, Jeff Sykes, John Singleton, Donnie Lowery, and Jerry Clark.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Erin Church of the Nazarene, 11 College St. Erin, TN, 37061.
