Eric Martin

Eric Weston Martin, age 44, of Cunningham, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Phillip Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the church.
Eric entered into this life on December 27, 1971 in Anchorage, Alaska to Arthur Eric (Nick) Martin and Patricia Shannon Martin. Eric had vested 25 years in a passionate career on the river, having served the last 15 years as a River Boat Captain and the last 5 of those 15 years with Ingram Barge Co. He was a member of the church family at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Eric was preceded in death by his father. In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving wife, Maribeth Magee Martin; children by marriage, Wen, Will, Kathleen, and Mary Claire Comperry; half brother, Dwight A. Kimblern and his wife Cathy; and nieces, Stephanie Russell and Chrissy Lee. He also leaves behind his faithful four-legged friends, Hank, MaeBelle, and Jocko.
Serving as pallbearers are James Black, John Wilkins, Robert Harris, Greg Meek, Calvin Fuller, Rex Hawkins, Justin Crocker, and Danny Shepherd.
