Emma Rae Webb

Emma Rae Webb, age 89 of Tennessee, Ridge, TN, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Houston County Community Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Lela Roby officiating. Burial will follow in Summers Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon.

Emma entered this life on December 20, 1935 in Flatwoods, TN, daughter to the late Issac George Laxton and Gurtrude Dixie Qualls Laxton. Before becoming disabled, Emma attended Erin Baptist Church and loved spending her time volunteering at Bethesda Mission and Tennessee Ridge Elementary School. She was such a positive person despite dealing with adversity at times in her life. She enjoyed keeping in touch with her family, reading mysteries, and who done it’s. Her true passion in life was her family; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her children, Jacob Lynn Webb, Susan Joy Webb; siblings, Roy Laxton, Frank Laxton, Joe Laxton, Mary Lee Jarrell, Freda Huskey, George Laxton; half-sister, Melvina Laxton Baker; step-siblings, Raybon Wyatt, Adron Wyatt, Lindon Wyatt, Vernon Wyatt, and Naomi Bradley.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Terri Webb; granddaughters, Lauren (Hunter) Sutton, Taylor Webb; great-granddaughters, Emmalynn Sutton, Magnolia Sutton; and half- sisters, Ruth Laxton Brody, and Kathy Laxton Rippy.
