Elpidio Leyva Jr.

Elpidio Leyva Jr., 58, Clarksville, died Thursday, January 29, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born March 10, 1950 in Rio Hondo, TX and was the son of Elpidio B. Leyva Sr. and Maria F. Aguilar Leyva. Mr. Leyva was a Catholic and retired from the U.S. Army. Other than his mother, survivors include his wife, Shirley Cobb Leyva; daughters, Nicole Leyva, Elvira Leyva, Danale Mutters, all of Clarksville; grandchildren, Jacob Wayne Ayres, Britany Mutters, Destiny Mutters; sisters, Amelia Davila, Martha Bocanegra; brothers, Rafeal Leyva, Miguel Leyva and Lionel Leyva.
