Elois West Stephenson, 93, Clarksville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born in Montgomery County on September 19, 1915, an was preceded in death by her parents, Davis and Julie Suiter Vick; and was the widow of Carroll West and Drex Stepenson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She retired from BF Goodrich after 24 years.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby West (Becky), William West (Sherry) both of St. Petersburg, Fl, Jerry West, Lake City, FL; daughter, Vicki Powell, Clarksville; brother, Tommy Suiter (Wanda), Clarksville; sisters, Catherine Bennett, Memphis, Tn, Francis Clinard, Knoxville; ten Grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Powell, Carl Powell, Umar West, Tony Suiter, Clay Bailey and Steve West.
