Elfriede Morris

Elfriede Heichel Morris, age 98, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Elfriede entered this life on February 23, 1925, in Vienna, Austria to parents, Eduard and Magdalena Heichel. She was a loving matriarch for her family and some of her favorite things included cooking, sewing, and shopping. Additionally, she was a former parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, SGM (Ret) Murrey E. Morris; Brother, Eduard Heichel; Sister-in-law, Steffi Heichel and son-in-law, James Roberts. Survivors include her children, Helga Roberts, Riley Morris (Nicole), Sylvia Meadows (Roger), and Christina Grisham (David); grandchildren, Ed Morris, Joy Peek, Michael Meadows, Stephanie Meadows, and Katie Palmer; great-grandchildren, Mikey, Angel, Preston, Briana, Eli, Samantha, Clayton, Aiden, and Sarah; and great-great-grandchildren, Oliver and Holland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Condolences may be made to Elfriede's family at Nave Funeral Homes.com.
