Eldon David Schmidt

Eldon David Schmidt, age 71, of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Spurgeon officiating. Burial will follow in Gray Barnes Cemetery.

 Family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon. 

 Eldon entered this life on August 27, 1953 in Clarksville, TN, son to the late Andrew and Blanch Anderson Schmidt. Eldon faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and was a proud graduate of Austin Peay State University where he was very active in Sigma Chi. Eldon was the proud owner and operator of Ace Hardware, an establishment that he built from the ground up. He had a passion for cattle farming with his Hereford cattle, logging, his Tennessee Titans, and his family; he will be greatly missed. 

 In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles Claxton.

 Survivors include his wife, Melissa Schmidt; his loving children, Candice (Justin) Ray, Chauncey (Charleen) Schmidt; siblings, Rodney (Debbie) Schmidt, Nina (Glenn) Markin, Caronetta Claxton; grandchildren, Maverick Ray, Cassidy Ray, Chandler Schmidt, and Charlotte Schmidt. 

 Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
