Effie Bowers

Effie Frances Bowers, 88, Woodlawn, died Friday, February 18, 2011, at Clarksville Nursing & Rehab. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Johnny Burkhart officiating. Burial will be in Needmore Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was born October 12, 1922 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by her parents, Byrd and Blanche Oliver Hall; and her husband, Frank Bowers. Mrs. Bowers was retired from Acme Boot Company and was a member of Needmore Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Lester Bowers, Woodlawn. Pallbearers will be Ronald Burkhart, Lynn Burkhart, Kenneth Burkhart, Jonathan Burkhart, Dave Hanks and Billy Smith.
